Birthday Parties/ Celebrations
Insektus provides a range of presentations for the above activities, for example birthday parties go for up to 1 1/2 hours for up to 25 children aged 4 to 12 years old.
We show the Bug Box and go through a range of safety issues with insects and spiders, while naming the body parts and counting the number of legs. After we have shown the various creatures from the bug box (insects, spiders, worms, scorpions, millipedes etc) we go collecting!
Children are given a bug jar to help collect the bugs and then we identify the collected creatures, putting them back into the garden where they live.
We come to you, so parties can be at your home or at a local park and are quite popular so please book early.
We also give out drawing sheets for the children to trace or colour in, these can be found in the resources, under handouts.
