 Hawk Moths (Sphingidae) This photograph is on page 2 of my new brouchure with the question, "can you name this bug?" it is of course a hawk moth which are quite common in Sydney but did you know they range from as far as India. This species don't have a common name, its scientific name is Psilogramma memephron which is a bit of a month full, any way you will probably know the hawk month caterpillars especilly the large one found on impatiens. (see photo 7). |  Caterpillar Hawk Moth This is the caterpillar of a Hawk moth found on impatients, if touched it feels like velvet and if you pick it up with your hand it may poo or even vomit on you! It won't hurt, but you will have to wash your hands. They are a beautful caterpillar, they may eat some of your plants but they will grow back. |  Hairy Caterpillar The hairs of some caterpillars can sting and can be as painful as a bee sting, some hairs may irritate or just cause itching. |  Wanderer

 Stick Insect Enclousure These laminated enclousures are especially designed for stick insects, as they provide secure housing, are easy to clean and provide to right height for the moulting of the larger stick insects the goliaths, the giant green stick insect.
The enclousures are also great for observations and are very easy to look after. |  Gordian Worms Wow it moves
It's a worm, looks like a hair. This is a Gordian worm, they are found in various bodies of water grows in side insects and spiders then when they have finished feeding on the host, in this case a praying mantis, they emerge and go looking for water to mate and lay millions of eggs, Yes millions of eggs, luckily they do not harm us and are found all over the world.

 Dany's Orb Spider This Photograph was taken by a friend of mine, Dany who loves spiders (and his wife Natalie) after work Dany spends many hours looking after and admiring a range of spiders that he find in his own front yard. The photo is of one of the many he has found and photographed.

|  Huntmans Spider This is a spider! A humtman's spider, and yes they can bite, the venom may not make you sick but will hurt and if you are asthmatic or allergic to anything, you may have a reaction. So I do not touch any spiders with my fingers, you can look at a spider all day, just don't touch them. |  Is that a spider on your Head?
